I paid $125 for a roll, I'll hold onto it and see where it goes

Thanks for posting the links Lyardnoj. I wondered the old style was so rare.

Anyone want to trade 2 of my old style toonies for 2 old style loonies? I have found lots of the toonies in my change but not 1 old style loonie. By the time I find a loonie I'm sure it will be quite tarnished and not one I'd prefer to keep.

ok, this thread has convinced me; I finally decided to buy one (the most reasonably priced circulation issue on ebay) - Here I found two of the old design loonies - and none of these elusive toonies.

I have one 2012 old style toonie in a gift set and I have found over 6 in my change, one in mint state.

The thing with the uncirculated set is interesting. Around Christmas 2014, it was about $50 (the same price as now). Last Christmas, it started selling on ebay for as low as $24. Panic, perhaps. Now it's back to 50.
