I Need Help Identifying A Coin - Coin Community Forum

tony27 New Member Canada 2 Posts	Posted 05/05/2013 5:35 pm Hello! I am new to the forum and would like to know what coin I have so forgive me if this is the wrong place. I found this picture on the web but no info with it. The coin I have looks exactly like the one I have pictured but with a few small differences. The star that is circled - On my coin everything is the same except that instead of there being 6 pointed stars on the side with an eagle they are all 5 pointed ones and the star that is circled is smaller than the rest of the stars on the side of the coin that I have. I can get pictures of the 5 sided stars and one smaller one if anyone would like. * Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. * Report this Post to the Staff

sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 05/05/2013 10:31 pm A 'private' mint that is not identified would always make me a bit suspicious. Reason being that is could be a plated or unplated fantasy. It could otherwise have very little silver in it. Report this Post to the Staff

Airw0lf Valued Member United States 178 Posts	Posted 05/10/2013 07:04 am like said before is not a coin since say " One troy ounce 999 fine silver " ... the Private Mints melt silver to make this "bullion" with different designs , when you buy "bullion" try to get that from recognized Mints to make sure are real .999 fine silver ...
