Pete2226- Very interesting! Definitely a keeper. Thanks for the info! Buddy- no, I havent even looked at it. I didnt even think about it being an "autograph" rather than just someone's signature. Maybe its Gina Lollobrigida! Probably not.. Any ideas?

I was wondering, If I wanted to do Banknote Bundle hunting in Canada, which banks would be the best to find older notes?

The red seals do have character, imo it looks a bit chinese since china uses red seals as signatures as suppose to written signatures.

Great thread! I'll get my bills up at some point! I strap searched 100 ones today. Nothing good, kept a trinary serial, but most people agree thats not rare. I have looked on ebay. It adds just a sprinkle of premium but not enough to counteract ebay fees. I saw a trinary star $50 note sell for $60. That's not even enough to cover fees and have anything left to speak of. But I keep them when I find them.

I had to downsize my old collection when rent ate through my savings a few years ago, but I found quite a few neat bills while working retail for nearly 4 years:
Series '36 $1 with a blue seal Series '63 $10 star note (nice and crisp) spent on a lotto scratch-off that didn't win Over $800 in star notes (about 75 individual bills, mostly $1) A few neat serial numbers (best was a $20 with serial number 00000205 and another $20 serial number 26666668) Over $400 in small portrait $20 (all from one customer who cashed in her rainy day fund from the 80s)
I managed to hang on to a few of the better notes, but I never really found collecting bills to be very worthwile.

Id like to chime in that I am a bank teller and the older style 100s are pretty common at my branch. Although never older than series 1977. Lots of star note dollar bills. Never see the older fives and tens anymore. Older 20s are about once a week. Older 50s about the same. No one ever buys 2 dollar bills but we have consecutive 2009 series. Just pulled a series 1963 dollar bill out of my drawer today.

Is there a website that details what kind of notes to look for by denomination? Experienced coin hunter here, with limited note hunting experience past the obvious ones

Not too exciting, but I picked up a 1957 (series B) $1 silver certificate at the bank today.
