It isn't, technically, a "coin" as it was not issued by a national government. It is a piece of notgeld, a very extensive series of privately issued tokens and notes issued in Europe during and after WWI. "1.10.14" is the date in European format: 1st October 1914, a few months after the outbreak of the war. Many notgeld pieces are small paper money notes, others are "coins" made of zinc, iron or aluminium. A few are round pressed-cardboard coin-like discs, like this.
This one comes from the town of Landskron; it is now situated in the Czech Republic but in 1914 it was in the Austrian half of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
