Sap Moderator Australia 16868 Posts	Posted 06/12/2013 11:09 pm Hello and welcome. Your coin is from Belgium, which was under Imperial German occupation at the time the coin was issued. It is made of zinc, which is a terrible metal to make coins from because zinc turns black after a short while in circulation and tends to form nasty corrosion spots if left exposed to moist air. As a result, these coins are very often in very poor condition. Examples of this coin that aren't all black and corroded can be fairly valuable. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
