Sweet! I always save pre-1960 nickels so I should probably check my stash. Raymo, buy a box or three from the bank. You should find a War Nickel in 7,500 nickels.

I'm gonna guess that I probably went through 15 boxes. I did get some nice dates and even a few 2009's but sadly no War Nickels. Lol I bought a cpl rolls worth just for the heck of it.

Quote: There was another one today but it was just a plain 44-no P but without the hole in the R. Went for like 38 bucks. I could be wrong,,,, not all real Hennings have the hole in the R also maybe. all real, real 1944s have the large Mint Mark . unless it was altered by removing mm thus making it a fake counterfeit worth 15 times as much as a real silver nickel

The idea of a fake, fake nickel makes me laugh....does a fake fake make it a real nickel? I feel some sort of paradox taking place here

...lol, I could see people trying to create a counterfeit of the counterfeit. They're becoming worth a lot of money.
