Quote: WHY THERE IS NO BABY 3 COIN SET?
It is coming next week. I guess they are putting the finishing touches on them. It will be a very popular set as it is already sold out at the post office. I think there will be limit of one for them. I suggest you order as soon as it is available. It could sell out in one hour like the butterfly coin.

Humh.... some how I don't see the Eagle online? I've tried refresh the page, even log out and then log in again..... This happened with the last Eagle coin also.
Regarding the Specimen Set: 1) There are 4 annual set to collect now (if you want to have them all)? I remembered a few years back, there were only 2 sets... 2) The Silver Dollar (Arctic Expedition) now have 4 different finish/coating? That mean it would cost about $430 to collect all 4 of them... Conclusion: NOT ordering.
Regarding other coins: 1) I totally agree that the Autumn Maple Canopy design is not up to par, compare to the Spring coin, mainly the truncation of the maple branches and too many thin/small but dense branches squeezed in a tinier space make it look un-natural, like a mesh. Conclusion: Order 3 to keep up & cross my finger, hoping it look better in hand (like the Autumn one). 2) Barn Owl coloring scheme is like the Mallard (first clad duck) coin... I rather like the bird series coloring scheme of the previous bird coins (partial coloring of the branches/background, in addition to the bird) AND the clad Wood Duck coin. Conclusion: Order a few to keep up. 3) I already have 1ea subscription to the O-Canada series. I am regret not getting 2sub for the 1/2 oz, especially after seeing the box can be use for the 20-4-20 coins. 4) No Lunar series coins since I haven't started the set. The designs are nice but the mintage make the price not worth it.

I Still see the first silver bald eagle for sale at the very busy PO at downtown core.
Is it that "Hot" for these Eagle coins? Sold out even before public release.

Quote: If the website is correct, it would seem that the only "new" coin in the set would be the Specimen Silver Dollar. I'm thinking that the web site has the correct info on this set, with the silver dollar being the only "new" coin. If the other coins in the set were also specially-struck, I would have expected the RCM to promote their difference to help sell the sets. I believe the Impressions catalogue is mistaken. Quote: So, FOUR finishes for the annual silver dollar... Though I'm not thrilled about having to purchase another multi-coin set to keep my silver dollar collection complete, I'm actually a little surprised that it took the RCM this long to release a specimen-finish silver commemorative dollar (not counting the 1971-1980 Specimen dollars which feature a different finish from the RCM's current Specimen-finish coins). The annual regular-edition silver dollar has been closely aligned with Canada's standard circulating coinage for decades via the annual Proof sets. I guess the RCM finally realized that they could do the same with their Specimen sets. All that said, I doubt the creation of a third type of annual Specimen set was due to "collector demand" for a Specimen silver dollar. If the RCM makes this new set an annual release - a strong possibility - I believe it will frustrate/negatively impact a good percentage of its Specimen Set collectors as well as its Silver Dollar collectors. Many in both camps are likely to just say "No!" Unfortunately, my desire to keep my silver dollar collection complete will push me to order one of these new sets.

I'm in both camps and I say oh heck NO. Really not thrilled that the RCM took this step and I hope this new set absolutely flops.

I like collecting silver dollars but not this time. The only way the mint will get the message is if people don't buy it.

Quote: No baby set in this new release? As I remember, someone knowledgeable said previously, that the set and standalone Baby coins will be release on 8-th of August.
