If a RCM coin were issued with the baby, would it be the first time for such an occasion? Has there been other coins commemorating the birth of a particular child? Just curious.

This was posted on their facebook page: The Royal Canadian Mint is pleased to congratulate their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their son. The Mint has a proud tradition of celebrating milestones of Canada's Royal Family, and will issue special commemorative coins in the coming weeks to mark this very special and historic occasion. http://www.mint.ca/store/news/the-r....Ue2l3o21Fmw

I bet the engravers at the Pobjoy will be sharpening their tools in preparation for whatever's going to be issued in the name of the Isle of Man, Gibraltar and Tristan da Cunha...

The British Royal Mint is advertising the silver St George & the Dragon proof £5 for £80. Chard's are offering the same coin with a £5 discount... I'm not rushing to buy one!
