Unidentified 1909 Edward VII 6-D Size Copper/Bronze Coin

silvermaniac Valued Member Spain 134 Posts	Posted 07/12/2013 2:20 pm Someone gave me a coin that's really puzzling me. It's exactly like an Edward VII gold sovereign (with St. George slaying the dragon on the reverse, and the year 1909), but seems to be Copper or Bronze and about the size of a Sixpence. I looked in the catalogs for Britain, Australia and Canada already, but can't find a match. Do you know anything about this coin? Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

silvermaniac Valued Member Spain 134 Posts	Posted 07/12/2013 3:42 pm You could be right; it has a similar size to a half sovereign. Though it seems to well done to be counterfeits. It also has the top side of the rim smashed, so I'm also thinking it could be a medal of some sort. Report this Post to the Staff
