jay-g New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 07/15/2013 6:13 pm Hello All, my first post. I have a 1876 Independence Hall "So-Called Dollar" (White Metal and UnHoled). I have only been able to find one other like it, however, it was "Holed". As far as I can tell majority were holed for wearing with some type of ribbon. I am trying to decide if this might be worth having graded and certified? Or perhaps if anyone might have any information on it. Has a lot of luster..as well as patina. judd1552 Valued Member United States 156 Posts	Posted 08/03/2013 10:43 pm The white metal composition of this design of SoCalled Dollar is the most common of the surviving examples (HK-26, R4), which includes the bronze (HK-24, R5), copper(HK-25,R5)and the rare silver(HK-23, R8). The HK-26 is typically and often diminished by environmental damage to the delicate, reactive surfaces of white metal.
