Wow, especially finding a coin like that as oppose to buying it. Hang on to that one!

'86 is my birth year, and I was born just outside of Philly. Suffice to say, it's definitely a keeper unless I'm really hard up for cash.

Neat, looks like the obv was the anvil die.

Quote: looks like the obv was the anvil die Why do you think so? The reverse has that flat look with narrow double rims and the obverse has the outer metal curled upward.

Quote: Heres the slab... Very nice! I wanted to see how it was acknowledged on the label. Many of you know that I am generally not slab fan, since I prefer to collect in albums. However, I see them as being beneficial for the variety and error collector.

Very nice coin by the way. But I was wondering is this is considered a centered broadstrike ? If so, how come reeding is present. If it is a forced broadstrike (coin would be oversized) the reeding would be smeared and the edge beveled. I am just not that familiar with a broadstruck coin with full reeding.

It's a double struck broadstruck error. Most likely the coin was struck normally the first strike and the second strike it was broadstruck.

O.K. Thanks. So just to get it straight (curious) the first strike was in collar then the second strike was out of collar but still a centered broadstrike ?
