Wow, these are amazing coins! But once again, I feel the half sisters are being underrepresented. So, here is my 1794. She's a C-1a in PCGS F15. Her nice even wear shows she participated in plenty of commerce during her lifetime, but happily she avoided any major mishaps.

CoinHawkeye- Love those die cracks! What a neat cent. jeffrose- Thanks for giving us a last glimpse of your adopted-out coppers. I, for one, had not seen them before, and I am wowed by the wreath cent. Your 1794 Half Cent is great, too. Someday I hope to obtain a high relief one - it has such a different look. I think it is underrated as a separate type. And thanks, vermontensium, for the compliment on my 1793 Half Cent. I feel priviledged to have her in my collection. Can you all tell I"m loving this thread?

Loving the thread so far! My S-76b may be the commonest of 1795 issues, and it's not the prettiest one, but it's very close to my heart. This was the first Liberty Cap I had ever seen in the flesh, at the age of ten, long before I had ever heard the term "cherrypick." My mother had toted me along to an estate auction, where, it turned out, among the furniture and antiques, the auctioneers had found someone's collection of large cents. If you can call a pile of filthy coins in an old mayonnaise jar on a kitchen windowsill a "collection." They had dumped them out and scooped them in handfuls of five into sandwich baggies as auction lots. I was certainly the only one in attendance that day who knew that the hoard contained mainly Braided Hair, a few Coronets,... and this coin. I made sure that particular baggie went home with us that day.
