That sure is a good sign with the weight.

I would take it to FUN show in Florida, and have them (PCGS, NGC, ANACS) take a closure look at it.
Good luck!

Edit: Sorry I just remember the FUN show is in January every year, but I would get a few PRO opinions before submitting.

Looks like the coin may have been coated with lacquer. It could be removed with acetone, but I'd be careful as part of the lacquer seems to have chipped off. Once removed, there may be a color/toning mismatch. This may be a candidate for PCGS restoration. Considering it's value, I'd go that route.

BTW, this coin would bring big money at auction (NOT ebay).

So what do we think it would bring? I'm thinking at least $50,000.

If it is for sure real, I would say $50,000 would be about right.

I can't decide which is worse... coming into these threads at this point where we are all waiting on the edge of our seats or coming into them after the person has found out it wasn't what they hoped all along. Now, I'm not saying AT ALL that I think yours is fake, in fact, when you posted the weight my mouth dropped wide open. I'm just saying that logging in to see a new thread less than two days old with 3 pages of responses catches my attention pretty quick and I REALLY hope this pans out!

What's going on now? Is the coin off to get TPG? Or looked over by a coin dealer?

I hope it's not another of those threads where we never get the final outcome.

Sorry everybody, I had an emergency with my 6 year old and have not been able to update on anything. Right now unfourtunatly there is nothing to update as I am trying to find out a reputable dealer or someone who knows what they are talking about. I had talked to the other person I had mentioned and he struck me as wrong. First off when he first started looking at it, his hands were literally shaking which seemed like a good thing, then all of a sudden his demeanor changed and started to tell me that it was not real and that to "help me out" he would give me $300.00 for it. that really got my attention, as he does not know me and just the way he was acting. So right now I am attempting to see if I can send it to one of the places some of you mention so that I can have it authenticated without someone trying to rip me off. Which is what I felt this individual was trying to do.

That is the update that I have now, and trust me, you all have been such a great help I will not leave you without letting you know the outcome. I am very very new to this and dont want to rush it and make a stupid mistake.
