1937 Crown (Over Pay?) - Coin Community Forum

jpl Valued Member Australia 354 Posts	Posted 08/19/2013 12:55 am G'Day there, I acquired this over the weekend, it has been cleaned "can see the aftermath of a Jewellery cloth's scratch's"(very distinct). There also happens to be a small "Carbon Hole' spot ( just under the Bottom left hand side of the Crown!) apart from that, the detail is excellent with maybe about 93% of the Crown's Orb & an almost undented Rim! I think it may have been a coin in a Ef grade, Untill it got cleaned? What should the grade be now as it is? I've never tried to grade a coin that's been cleaned up! Not that I mind as there is a lot of detail there to compensate with the cleaning. I paid $80, maybe $20 to much? What do you guy's think on this? Cheer's jpl.. Report this Post to the Staff
