Common sense: most superman fans are not coin collectors and they don't even know RCM already released superman coins. And, if they want to be cool, it's better to spend a lot less money to buy a much much much bigger size poster! My 5 cents, FYI.

Quote: What do you base your belief on that Superman fans will not buy coins? The New Zealand Star Wars coins are a perfect analogy. You can pick these up below cost only after a year of issue....

FWIW, I'm told the Autumn Bliss coin is actually oversold right now so it will be hot, for how long, who knows?
On the Superman coins, I'm also told that these will sell out quickly as soon as they're released to the public. There's been a lot of US interest in these coins with lots of people wanting them now but having to wait to order when they go public. Time will tell I guess.
My source has actually seen the Superman coins and says the hologram one is spectacular. The hologram he says is like what you see on the new Canadian Passports. Superman is flying and the city is in hologram behind him.

These and those painted coins (but not just printed). IMO, coin collectors will prefer Darth Vader's mask depicted in silver on the coin, or Superman's shield. And most of the comics / movie collectors will get for this money other type of collectibles...

Really? Which has a bigger fan base? The point is - people who don't collect coins, won't start because their favourite cartoon character is on it. For example: I am a huge fan of the Vancouver Canucks NHL team - but will freeze over before I ever purchase a set of NHL Canucks postage stamps or sports cards... Star Wars fans didn't purchase the New Zealand coins in droves... why would Superman fans act any differently?

I understand your point. I think the main force for making this one particular coin good for flippers is the new, first time Achromatic Hologram technology. Similar to the First GITD dinosaur. Addendum: Canuck fans need to be worried about winning their first Cup, not debating the Superman coin.

Autumn Bliss back in stock at Talisman but they jacked the price to $120. 3rd Eagle coin still in stock for $100.

Where does it say officially this is part of a series? It's not on RCM's website and emails I received from RCM reps say no series if planned for this coin

And what's the deal with people reviewing coins before they've at least seen the thing in person, let alone buying and spending a bit of time with it in their hands. The most recent review on this Autumn Bliss Should read: This coin Computer generated marketing picture of a coin that don't exist yet is by far the nicest one of dozens and dozens I have seen the mint produce accept as an idea from some dealer in a very long time.. this coin picture has everything, water ripples ,kayak, eagle soaring , all the different colors on the trees reflecting off the water... all I can say is thanks RCM you hit it out the park on this one.. Let's hope you didn't promise half the mintage away overseas, sold out this coin before you are certain you can actually produce them without error, and deliver a coin that actually looks like the pretty pictures
