Sadly, even if you had Superman #11 and sold it you still wouldn't be able to buy all the Superman coins RCM is releasing.

It is natural.
All this stuff including coins really worth only the material.
Just the people (like we are for the coins) willing to pay more.

Unless of course you happen to have one of these.

Superman-Coins

Back in May some guy in Minnesota was renovating a house and found an Action Comics #1 stuffed in the wall for insulation. It was in pretty rough shape but still fetched over 6 figures at auction.

Artwork by Joe Shuster.

That guy's lucky. My friend renovated his house last summer, and found a lot of timmy cups, banana peels and soda cans stuffed inside the walls.

Yeah, also found banana peels under the old carpet, I guess that's what people paid for the "extra think padding" upgrade.

A new low in Canadian numismatic history.

Once, we could openly share and talk about the upcoming RCM designs. Agree. Disagree. Buy or not buy.

But then..... came the RCM-P who enforced the outrageous MC picture law. Not long after that, the elite MC was created only to favor the flippers.

Now we have gone to the next level: The black curtain.

Superman buyers are either legit collectors that have seen the darn pictures, or gamblers. This can't be right.

Imagine you.... blindfolded.... buying a coin you cannot see.... Ask around and no one can tell you anything about it.

So go ahead... Place your bet. I'm out.

Yeah, and on top of not seeing the coins, paying high prices for them too! These coins make nice gifts for kids, but after seeing my last CC statements, I think I might have to settle for a Superman tin coin bank and tell my nephews to put coins in them and save their money!

Heck, I'll need one of these for myself for the same reason!

Well, at least, those coins are not made in China! Maybe it's the next step for the RCM to make bigger profits :)
