So how many coins are you guys buying? Boy, those coins are expensive. A set of 6 non-gold coins are selling for $505. Buy 2 each of them and you are looking at $1000!. Add PST of 7% if you live in BC.
BTW, if you live near a Mint Boutique, they will be available for sale tomorrow.

I think the Hologram coin is "The" coin in the series, and I may order one. It looks very attractive.

The official pictures release today at 12:00 in Toronto. Will try to be there, but do not know, if they allow to me use the camera.

That could be. Never attended on such of events before, and I expect to some display case with the coins. The possibility of any sale is close to zero... I need to see, if I like "The Shield". This one for me or nothing.

They have some 3D art on the street (pics on Twitter) and a photo transformation app on Facebook. Expect at least one guy dress as SM to be wandering around Toronto today. Dunno how I feel about all this promotion around what I would classify as novelty coins. It certainly marks a new direction for the RCM. If this all fails maybe they will return to more traditional minting, but on the other hand, maybe this sort of pop culture hook will bring in new collectors to expand the hobby. I'm just not sure I want to be part of that new hobby. From FB: They're all behind the curtain (just like the Wizard of Oz).

After seeing pics of the anchromatic hologram & vintage Superman coins, I cancelled my orders & RCM just approved cancellation. I agree with cookiecutter that the anchromatic hologram coin does remind me of the Silver Surfer & the vintage would have been nicer in color enamel(IMO). I will pass on this series.
