I think you guys completely forgot about the $10 Special Wrap of 50 Canadian pennies that sold for $6600 because it had a COA of 20,000/20,000.

A 660,000% increase in price ;) lol

looking at the latest SOLD listings on ebay I see that the slabbed one oz silver superman series are selling a lot more..Mostly by MCM and another Seller who has sold dozens of PF 69 and PF70 grades ..Im not sure if it such a great profit to sell a PF 70 Hologram for 165 USD...considering bulk NGC cost are 25.00 plus shipping / handling fees I cant see how youre going to make any return...even at 200 its not much return. I was going to send some out for grading but decided against it...Its going to cost you at least 35.00 to get the grading done on a bulk level..doesn't make sense but they are selling for sure...

Here is another example of how a COA# can increase the price of a coin. A roll of 2012 pennies is currently at $190 US. I had the opportunity to buy one of these at $9, I guess I should have took the plunge.

The 1/4oz silver Vintage Superman coin is back in stock at the Mint...

No wonder some dealers were clearing this one out a few weeks ago.

The extra 5000 mintage creates the over supply, and no demand in the one hot series last year.

But RCM is not in a hurry to sell it. It's still 2 per household so it has to be a new customer tu buy it.

I think that is the best coin of the series personally.

SUPERMAN GOLD SCAM? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canada-75th...em2a3ce22918

this ebay listing is possibly the first counterfeit Gold coin to appear on the market..The seller states that the coin is probably gold plated and is bigger than usual......sold for 200.00

I guess this was inevitable..at least the seller was honest in the listing

looking at the closeup shots on the fake Superman gold coin you can see the imperfections in the cameo quite clearly the rims are uneven as well but the reverse looks pretty good...

beware any cheap Superman gold

sounds like it would be prudent to have your gold certified if you want to sell it. Copying the case would be pretty challenging I would think but these days anything is possible..im surprised they would make the coin bigger but I'm happy the seller described it correctly...Still 200.00 for a fake Gold Superman coin is a great deal if you flip it to a unsuspecting buyer for 750.00 and plead ignorance

@chubbycheeks.....makes you wonder for sure if the gold is a fake and maybe the silver too...fact is that silver superman fakes must be making their way into the market as well by now and this lot could be completely fake because no one in their right mind would sell this lot for 700 bucks unless it was either stolen property or fake or they required some crack immediately.

Guys, this so-called set is completely fake! These are really poorly done to boot.

Whoever bought these did not do their homework.

Firstly, these fakes all have the same diameter, a dead give away. All one would have to do is check the RCM site archives to obtain the right specs.

Secondly, the quality of the coloured coins is vastly inferior to the real ones. They look awful.

Thirdly, as CASSSIDY77 said, the low price should have scared off even the most ignorant of buyers. No one gets a deal like this for the real McCoy.

It's just plain pathetic that ebay allows this kind of crap to be listed on its site!
