Quote:This example is really simple for the seller, spend about 70.00 get it graded by a TPG, then listed it for around 2000.00, and probably sell quite quickly or why would you list the way it is unless it's a problem coin. I sent an email to him advising him to get TPG grading and he said he will do it. We shall see.

i think it is hilarious that the seller says they threw out the box and coa which is probably worth at least 3-400 to the right buyer.....how could anyone in their right mind throw out that beautiful box?....
Im waiting for a ngc graded superman gold coin to come back any day...im really just foaming to see how it graded out....yikes..that sounds bad doesn't it?

and also I think silveroid is right in his recent picture comment on this coin..i have currently a gold superman coin listed in canada commems and I noticed another seller using my picture to sell his gold superman...so this kind of annoyed me a little and I sent the seller an email to that affect....and asked him to remove my image or else I would report him to which he replied....ok...since then I have reported him twice and that was over a week ago and his listing is still running...this does not give me any confidence in ebay enforcement policies...im gonna have to change my picture ...and BTW ...this other guy also has a picture of a S Man original box which is probably someone else picture as well .....maybe another fake .......if the seller isn't showing their own pictures it isn't allowed by the book......but ebay has better things to do than enforce their anti fake image.......this is my listing http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...181265871785this is the other listing http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...181265871785the URLS are the same for both listings..i would have thought they would be different..i find that a bit confusing

I remember your seller name, I was considering a 19XX gold coin a while back but backed out because of the tax involved. If only I had put two and two together I probably could've just messaged you.
Best of luck with the superman coin.

thanks chubbycheeks..FYI...i just listed an MS 64 1914 gold...i also did a bit more research on the certified pop. of Superman gold coins and found that there are at present 11 NGC certified Gold Supers as follows:: PF 68 ...1 PF 69... 3 PF 70....7...all of them are Ultra Cams...ive got the weirdest PF 68 one which has machine marks on the cameo edge at approx 8:00...i dont know how I missed them but when you are looking through a holder I guess it can happen..i never took my Superman gold out of the holders for a second...i never see any PCGS certified gold Supers so if anyone has any info on that I would appreciate it..i dont belong to the PCGS club right now but I will see if I can get access to their census

Tax on gold is criminal. All gold bullion should be tax free, it's a currency exchange.

tax is included on my items..i dont know why chubbycheeks backed out on my item because there is no xtra tax indicated on any of my items..i agree about the gold being tax free and duty free as well..i recently got a refund from CBSA on a 300 buck duty charge they levied on a gold Dr Who coin I got from the USA...you shouldnt have to pay either tax or duty for gold into or out of the USA...but you really have to watch CBSA...they are very agressively collecting sales taxes and duties from imported items into Canada these days and a lot of errors are being made by them...you can file an appeal with forms obtainable on the CBSA website

I thought only pure gold and silver is tax free. Gold superman is 14k gold right? Please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

the 1912-1914 coins are 90% gold. Your ebay listing had a store or business subscription so I assumed you had store front.

pure gold bullion is tax and duty exempt which is why I got the refund on the CBSA duty error with the 999.9 Dr Who gold coin. I include any tax in my listing price and I think it helps sales although few bidders ever ask about tax before they bid....of course the RCM charged me tax on the BOC coins which is kind of strange because they are legal tender and the price at the time of the release was based on the bullion price which at the time was above 1650 oz......

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2014-iconic...em43cde68392here is another fake gold superman listing on ebay.....This one is very tricky because the seller has a picture of the actual real coin along with a somewhat believable desperation sale price 200.00 above the original price and he has listed the original specs of the coin in his description...so if you are a greedy deluded fool you will be tempted to BIN this item and join the list of suckers for the gold superman who should have bought the real thing for 750.00 CAD but dont be fooled ......this is all about the china fakes

He's selling gold coin from the future release. The image is old (he's promising new image soon), but shipping date is set to September 2.
