for those that also buy from the Perth Mint, this second gold superman coin reminds me of the gods of olympus series, first coin people were unsure, but the coin went for a large premium, and then second one came, which was a much faster sell out, and it also sold for a large premium, just not as much as the original one. Although I don't have too much experience I am atleast 99% sure this new superman gold coin will hold its value at least.

People thought the first gold Superman would not do well and boy, were they wrong. Lots of people regretted not buying it. They are not going to make the same mistake this time. This coin will be a quick sell out this time.

yes, it was mistake to think, that people will not like simple painted coin.
This time we should get as many as we can, and the limit by the Mint probably will be 1 only.
So what to do? Need go through the POs and reserve this RCM collectible item in advance.

I wonder if any of the new coins will use the hologram technology that was on one of the original superman coins. It would be interesting if the gold coin used that in any way as it would be a first.

so I'm hearing from the informed sources in this thread that there will be more than just a gold Superman released..does anyone know how big the 2014 series will be?..I also find it interesting that the ebay seller I referred to who is preselling 5 units of the new gold Superman coin must be assured of getting at least 5 coins .....so much for 1 coin per person........and there is a reference by silveroid to the Post Office .....so is it a fact that the Post Office will again be involved in this 2014 Superman series?......im sure that is purely conjecture based on the way it was played last year

It is not another batch. These new coins have new design and new packaging. The packaging is mediocre though...

If I remember correctly, my rep said the gold coin is 14k for $750+tax. There are three silver coins, 1oz=$109.xx, 3/4oz=$89.xx and 1/2oz=$69.xx.
