The problem with RCM is there getting like comics I was a big collector of comics all my life to but stopped buying them when they started releasing so many I couldn't keep up,which is what RCM is doing with coins. It got to the point I started dropping some series and titles to keep up and then just gave up altogether, only got spidey left sold off the rest.

@fillurboots...thats a great point which is why I only buy golden age and silver age comic editions and the occasional super modern issue like spiderman 300 or Action 1 reprints..the modern comic book or coin seldom appreciates in value...but there are exceptions if you know what to look for

same here, heard the same story, but question is that how many will be available at Canadapost, if they are online first they will probably be sold out by the time people get to the post office

I hope that person on ebay has the inventory guaranteed or else he or she will be refunding a lot of unhappy customers.

These sellers are probably Canada Post franchise dealers or RCM dealers that are going to withhold their allottments for self gain, the only hot coin this year?

I'm surprise he's selling so many so soon, I think a lot of people are forgetting how long it took the first coin to reach that high of 3k.

The person is actually making a mistake, after ebay fees he/she is probably making less than $100 out of each one, if he had them in hand it would be much better. As for the Canada Post dealers, a friend who is one said that I have to come in and order Sept 2nd for gold since it is direct ship.

@CASSIDY77 I completely agree. Once you start collecting it's hard to stop. I've loved Superman for my entire life. My main goal was to get every Superman comic since the 1986 relaunch. Once I achieved that last year, I've started delving into some older issues (of which I had a couple dozen already post 1950s). That's why I love these coins. They compliment the comics so well. I would love to get a display going with these coins alongside their comic counterpart. :)

can you go online to order these new Superman 2014 gold coins from Canada Post on sept 2nd or do you have to order through a post office? Anyways its probably a useless endeavour because I would be surprised if there were any golds left in stock by sept 2

I think they have different allotments for in store and online sales, like how RCM reps have their own allotment which is different than the online availability

I note that this thread is splitting up due to various reasons the main one being , of course, the superman 2014 release..it might be good to just post anything relevant to the new 2014 Superman issue on the ...new superman series ... thread and keep this one for the 2013 superman coins only...anyways thats what I think I will do from now on...is that a good plan?...otherwise the thread will bump back and forth between various Superman issues and the fake ones as well ..but maybe that will make for more lively discussion

I can go along with you on this, Cassidy.

However, I think both threads should be transferred to the
Canadian Coins and Currency Discussion Forums where they rightfully belong.

@ NM....many would say that these coins secretly belong in the USA section had they not been minted by the darned Canadians and BTW .....Shuster didnt have anything to do with the 2014 gold Superman....but thats a minor detail not worth mentioning
