That is nuts. I knew it was going to go high, but past 3mill is crazy. I hope the buyer doesn't live in the same state that extra tax would be a whooper. But then again if you have 3 mill to throw around that extra tax probably doesn't mean much.

Well if you read the description, he was offered 3milllion before putting it up for auction. I wonder how much he paid for it?

I love how the seller accepts Visa/MasterCard. Can you imagine putting this on your credit card?

ive been acquiring some Action 1 reprints since the new release of 2014 Superman coins...im noticing that this action #1 Superman issue in particular is getting a lot of attention and sellers are jumping in on the demand..im pretty sure prices are increasing in the reprint area for this comic.........and I'm also pretty sure that selling a multi million dollar comic item doesn't depend on a coin release but who knows?....it is an exciting combo and it is also stimulatinmg the 2013 sales of Superman coins all over ..i note that a lot of golds are selling again..so its good news for the Superman coin releases..its a credit to ebay that they got the opportunity to sell the most valuable comic in the world...and it shows how big ebay has become

 There will always be a market for Superman collectibles. Sometimes up, sometimes down, but it will always be there.

There is only one (IMO) worthy thing about this grading - now all the coins could be put in one wooden box with 6 cells for graded coins.
But to grade new NCLT meaningless, than grading a toothpaste.
It's only my opinion, I don't understand this.

@ silveroid.....that is a bit of a stretch to say PR grades are meaningless..The only way NCLT can be graded is in the PR level and Superman coins quality can vary considerably under magnification..for instance the one 2013 Gold Superman I've kept has a hair or something similar...imbedded in the paint job! so even conservation wouldnt be able to make it better ....... so 2 out of the 3 gold 2013 S Man coins I got had major flaws......theres a big difference between PR 68 and PR 70

@Cassidy:
I know that overreacted a bit. That's why added that it my opinion only. Somehow I believe that freshly minted NCLT coins have to be perfect / near perfect. Otherwise - its a defect, or the "error" (I think the error should be officially documented - exactly as grading provides)
Mine I even do not examine with the magnifying glass. But you correct, the perfect item is preferred.

Interesting update, Arianzo thanks for update....
This couple will be snatched away shortly
When the coins in separate, people might be undecided...but both together - looks good deal for deep pocket collector.
