And 2004 had the gold plated poppy quarter, as well as the test token poppy quarter (no color). Lots of nice poppy coins out there :)

Fractional set & Piedford still on mind but will depend on ship date, I don't want another charge on this month's CC billing cycle!

I'm pretty sure they won't ship the new coins out right away. The RCM have been busy all month and I rarely remember them shipping things on time in the first place. This time it might work out to benefit people because it's looking like a pricey release.

Thanks chubby cheeks, I think you are right but keep trying to remind myself, plenty of extra expenses during winter, # 1, my propane tank for heating & you need plenty of food & beverage to keep all warm.

@coinhooked - Niue coins are generally great quality. they use the Australian Mint I believe.

Thanks Cowboy905. Not really knowing & PF70 all that MCM had available, PF69 at cheaper price would have been OK with me. Free ship to US (not sure about Canada) & just paying $19.00 more than buying a raw coin. New Zealand wanted more than $120.00 (US) plus shipping, currency exchange and possible duties, fees & taxes. The Niue coins that I see look very nice on the web.

Dcadon, I saw that one. It's Emily Carr's totem pole painting. I'll bet it's a beautiful coin but is obviously a steep price.
In comparison to spot price though, it's only a bit more than 2 x spot which is much less of a premium over 1oz. pricing. If I had the disposable income, I'd definitely pick that up. Canadiana at its best IMO.

Silveroid, very good point. I wonder if they'll do a 5oz. of this one down the road. I sure hope so. It really is a beautiful image and perfect for high relief.
But as Dcadon said, sooooo expensive. Prices everyone but the upper echelon of collectors out of the market.
