One thing that always bugs me about these type of lots is the inclusion of gimmicky junk like copper bars and the gold flakes. I must admit that huge pile of Morgans is quite impressive though.

The pics of the Morgans are "represenitive" of the actual lot. Looks like over 1/2 the weight is copper. Wouldn't touch it.

I noticed the black bag in with the "flakes" to make it look bigger... I did notice a picture that had some copper poured bars in it but couldn't find it in any other photos... so I guess some are stock photos like the morgans.... I would be seriously upset to pay all that money and there not be a table of morgans there...

The item in question will be immediately destroyed with no further investigation into the authenticity, and no adjustment will be made to the amount paid for the lot 'Nuff said.

Typical government speech. We'll sell it but if you don't like it when you get here tough. Besides, like CoinsKelly posted

why is it .com and not .gov if it is government? just wondering.
seems like the lot is up to 26k already. wowzers. looks like its mostly been 3 people fighting for it since I looked at it when it was at like 20k. they must have money to gamble I guess. who knows maybe they will get lucky and make some amazing finds and they will hit a home run on it. probably not though.

They're an independent, for-profit contractor serving government agencies.

The listing indicates what's in it - and they buyers may have been at the inspection last Tuesday... - Morgan Silver Dollar(28lbs)
- Eisenhower Dollars (30lbs)
- Buffalo/Indian Head Nickels (27lbs)
- Wheat Pennies(24lbs)
and enough of "Silver Bars, Washington quarters, American Silver Eagle Dollars, & Collectible Coins & Stamps." to make up 80#. Oh wait - 28+30+27+24 = 109 - so there must be negative 29 pounds of the other stuff... Seriously 450 common date Morgans plus 480 40% silver Ike are worth what? Plus
