Hi everyone, I'm new on here and thought I would start here with discussion on the new Piedfort.

I think it is a nice looking coin with different finishes and lots of detail.

I agree with you that the Piedfort is a stunning coin. As I've previously posted, I like it a lot.

The coin is still "young" and not a lot of second-market sales but, still, here are some ebay data:

Hey thecurse9, I agree, very nice coin but hasen't taken off like I thought it would either. Give it time, I think it will be a hit with the maple and Piedfort collectors!

RCM still has my piedfort in "processing" with my Candy Cane. Is anyone getting the piedfort from RCM or just CP?

I got the same back order as well. Welcome to the club! I had a great conversation with our PO lady who orders coins. She was very informative and encouraging, they have a bliss and I will be ordering most of my coins through her. At least the post office gets them in a timely fashion. Plus you get to see the coin in hand. It tiring to order coins and not know when they arrive. She was rather upset that they only get 1or 2 of a coin, while eastern provinces get more. She was amazed how long it takes the mint to ship some coins!

Yes I agree, as of lately I am getting a few more through them. The direct ship is not to bad either!

thank for explaining to me what makes this coin unique.

that said, based on thecure and the data presented, this coin has not taken off. not a lot of data but I think its gonna be a dud.

Furthermore, the fact that soemone here posted a link to APMEX having,, what was it 2010's still in stock tells me this coin is a dud. No demand.

Bottomline- buy it if you like it but dont buy it if you are looking for appreciation in price.

Picked up this coin at my local shop today (Coin Cabinet, Moncton)... to my surprise it was SIGNED (the coa inside the case). The artist is local.
