Really? You guys both canceled your orders? There is a ton of detail on this coin. Maybe I'm bias towards maples. But I think its a great design.

what makes this edition so special? does it have the same design as the regular bullion maples?

I love the coin! I was getting tired of the same old single leaf anyway, this is a welcome change to the norm...imo.

Quote: what makes this edition so special? does it have the same design as the regular bullion maples? This is "Piedfort" coin - the second for Maple Leaf in history. Being not "double-thick" as the Piedfort should be makes it unique. And actually the main - it simply looks different than others SML different editions.

I understand that there's no accounting for taste and that everyone is entitled to their own likes and dislikes. And of course as another cliché says, chacun à son gout. However I really don't understand why some folks don't like this coin. We received ours last week and find that it absolutely stunning. It more than does justice to all the fallen maple leaves that I have been bagging of late.

NuMoosematist, I only know English, could you share the French cliché saying in English? Thanks!

Very very nice coin in my opinion.
Chacun à son gout = Everyone has his own choice. Every person likes different things.

Chacun à son gout means "To each his own." I remember that phrase in the Operetta, "Die Fledermaus." Prince Orlofsky sings this aria at the party scene... What can I say? I like opera!

It looks like CP is all sold out of these.... I tried to pick up a couple because I think that they will hold their value long term. I also noticed that Colonial Acres has sold over 20 of them in the last 24hrs.... so obviously these are still moving pretty quick. http://colonialacres.com/products.p...w=51044&ref=
