Santa arrived today!

A BIG Thank you to Colin.

An amazing gift...he gave me my first bust quarter - 1818! I am not sure (I know, I SHOULD be), but this may be the oldest coin I own. It is a VERY welcome addition and will likely go into a 7070 when I get one.

Colin also did his homework as he sent me a non-numismatic gift also .

... a cool, 74 year old insulator made by the Hemingray glass company (date code on skirt 13-40 means from mold number 13 in 1940). It is classified in the insulator hobby as a CD 128 and was used exclusively for long distance telephone usage. It has the lead insert (dark area in top under Sulley's hand) that was put in there before messing with it onto a steel pin. I used to get these when I was a kid, but somehow never kept one of them... so now I have one!

Very excited to get this wonderful package - I am still on a high from it.

After several weeks of being unable to open my mailbox and properly figure out whether I actually got my gift (long story, but basically we lost almost all our keys for it), I finally managed to get the key and check what exactly was there.
Nothing. Well, lots of other stuff - some of it somewhat important - but nothing to do with Secret Santa.
I'm starting to get worried by now. Hope my package arrives soon - but I suppose I could only wait for it

"Пустите, казак, вы станете Атаман"

(Maybe 'страдаете' is better.)

"Suffer, Cossack, you will become the Ataman."

(historical) A title of Cossack and haidamak leaders of various kinds.

For the record, still nothing (I'm checking every day).
...IMHO, I feel 14 not-yet-delivered Santa parcels (out of roughly 100 in total) is a bit more than there should be. I wonder how many of these 14 just forgot to post on the thread, though
