I think the Iconic PB and the MM Caribou are going to do well. Had they been in a nice display (just assuming they are in clamshells) and/or as part of a series at $99.95, I would have ordered without hesitation. I may still order them. Like I said before, they remind me of the colourized SML wildlife coins except nicer, much lower mintages and proof finishes. I think those coloured SMLs sell for roughly the same too.

The Great Lakes series does appeal to me and I have ordered it with the option to cancel if the detailed pics aren't as expected. I'm assuming that the lake is set into the coin and the land is some sort of relief. That could be stunning but I guess we'll see.

I have a few of the bullion version and they are nice. I do like the design.

The proof is going to be much better in hand BUT, as an investment, the mintage is way too high and the price is not justified. I'd be surprised if they sell out and even if they do, I think they'll be selling in the market below issue before it's over.

I can't think of a single recent coin that had 25000 (or even 17500) mintage that sold for anything close to $125 and did well. That includes times when Ag spot was much higher. Add that to the 500,000 or more very similar and much cheaper bullion coins and I just don't see it.

Note: I normally don't apply so much weight to Ag content of NCLT but when a coin is based on a bullion issue, I think it comes into play much more in the minds of buyers and sellers.

At least this time with the 1.5 oz. polar bear coin the bullion version was released first before the nclt, some will disagree but the RCM is restriking a coin. Everything is exactly the same as bullion version and one might argue that the first 100 or so bullion coins struck will have a similar proof finish. FYI THE 1\4OZ. gold coin has also been issued as a bullion coin

One small difference. The bullion is 2012 and the proof is 2013. At least it's an easy way to tell them apart.

Edit to add: This is NOT correct. They are both 2013.

That's normally how they appear at first. They'll be for sale soon.

I've just received my November Catalog from the Mint and I see the 1 oz silver set (5 coins) and the 4 gold coins both in a Wooden Box, so I don't get all the comments about a cardboard box.
The only comes with the cardboard box are the 10 silver coins 0.5 oz.

The walnut case for the 5 coin set looks super, best I've seen in a long time. Altogether based on the prices RCM has been setting for other silver products this is not a bad deal. I wish I could see the other coins in the picture, I don't want to subscribe and cancel 1/2 way through.
