If they negotiated restitution and a guilty plea out of the perp I'd just about bet that all he got was a slap on the wrist fine and a little bit of probation.

He is on trial in several different towns for the same thing. I think the judge in my case granted him entry in a recovery program but who knows what will happen to him during his other court cases in the other jurisdictions.

Nice Now do so get to keep the counterfeits ? What a great keepsake ! Some time in the future you could sell the whole package, coins, police reports, news articles. What a great collector package. After you stamp the coins with "copy" designation of course. |

Ok, I'm not one to bump old threads but this one NEEDS to be a sticky or at least get bumped every new year. I just learned some invaluable info and this thread is a big tool for ccf members. Also, kudos to bobby for creating a place where a numismatic crime of this scale can be identified and prosecuted. |
