I came across this coin the other day and it's for sale for $6200 dollars. That seems like a good buy if you look them up. I've been trying to put together a set of these, what's everyone here think on that price? Thanks!!

Make sure the holder is not a fake. It should come with a certificate, which alone is worth in the $500 range.
Rest in Peace

Be sure it's not a c hinese GSA, scroll down this page and compare the obverse embossed logos. The 1882 is authentic, the rest are c hinese junk. https://goccf.com/t/161173&whichpag...rms=fake,gsa

Thanks for that dave. I just read all 9 pages and felt obliged to bump it for educational purposes

Bobby must have felt very proud. Like watching a child (ccf) going through a life milestone

It's been graded by NGC, they assigned it an MS61+. ITS the real deal. I offered $5500 cash over the phone yesterday but that wasn't enough.

I think this is a great deal, my wife isn't so sure. It's hard to pull the trigger on such a pricey coin.

Here is the last 1879 CC MS61 GSA coin sold at HA in 2014. It sold for $5875 and the coin is very baggy.

If your MS61 is strong for the grade, the asking price is in the ballpark, but I would make a counter offer for $5900.

I'm going to try and get a picture of it in the next day or two. I want some opinions and just to hear what people think.

The one I'm looking at is a 63 compared to that coin!
