For this thread, I think we have been going by which CE year the AH year has the most overlap.

Sounds good to me. I haven't really figured out how to best reconcile the various calendars with my own collection, but this treatment makes sense.

Here is an undated Hungarian Denar under King Wladislaus II that can be attributed to 1496 with a K-M/AF/B mint mark. I will post a screen shot of the part of the Pohl catalog that references this. I just got off a double shift and have to be back at 7 AM.

Very nice!

Posts from the first edition...

1494 - DKA-Numis
1493 - dspenciner
1492 - dspenciner and Petrus

As long as DKA-Numis, dspenciner, and Petrus will play along and repost those here, we can say the Second Edition has ascended to the HFBCWG throne.

(Just remember to hold off on the 1494 until midnight!)

We are now ready for 1494.

Will we have a new one? Will DKA-Numis answer the call?

@jbuck, I can post a 1494 this weekend if we are still looking for one of those:

https://goccf.com/t/249407

Over in the original HFBCWG thread, I think that you said you were planning to combine this thread and the original one once the two are both looking for the same year. As you are allowing the same coins to be posted on both threads, I'm pretty sure that we could get there pretty quickly.

Is combining threads still the goal?

Not combining them. I will be locking the original thread once this thread catches up because at that point we will have duplicate threads.

Yes, you are welcome (and encouraged) to re-post your coins from the original thread.

Yes, please post your 1494 when you can. The sooner, the better. Of course, since you were the one who originally posted 1493, you can probably take your time.

As promised, here is my 1494 half groshen from Pommerania (Levinson I-320). The diameter is 21 mm and the mass is 0.9 g. The obv legend is "MON-ETA-N-OVA-AM-9&", where the ampersand is a gothic 4. The rev legend is "DUX-BVGSLAVS-STETTIN". This guy was among my very first posts on CCF:

Pertus, I fully expect you to post your 1492 after dspenciner posts the 1493.

Getting close the milestone set by the original thread.
