1995 P Civil War Battlefield Preservation silver dollar

Due to my poor photo taking skills, it is a little hard to
read the inscription on the reverse

"In great deeds something abides.
On great fields something stays.
Forms change and pass: Bodies disappears:
But spirits linger to consecrate ground
for the visionplace of souls.
- Joshua Chamberlain"

Sticking with France for 1994 - a Monnaie de Paris BU set:

How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?-Second-Edition!---Ended-At-1492-Waiting-On-1491--

This was one of my better purchases! In the summer of 1994 I was escorting a group of British tourists on a weekend trip to Paris. The tour bus driver just happened to find a parking space opposite the Mint. I nipped in and bought this set as a whim, although it cost a bit more than I usually paid at the time. It's now considered the key date among French BU sets - only 3,707 sets were sold and the 1c and 10F coins were not struck for circulation. It's also interesting as the coins are the first to show the bee privy mark of the new chief engraver.
