1972 Lincoln Penny

Front appears to broadstrike?

Back has a slanted "1" or an "I" before UNUM

Do I have something of value?

Thanks in advance.

The REVERSE looks like post mint damage - damage that occured after it left the mint, somewhere in its circulated travels.

To me, the OBVERSE looks like its about 5% or so Off center.

It looks like its in about Very Fine condition, and its far from a rarity, so your not going to get rich off this one.

A collectible is only as valuable as the collector is willing to pay for it.

Thats right, an off center doesn't have a rim in the affected area.
A mis-aligned die has the rim and can have the appearance of an off-center coin.

All 1974 Lincoln cents are 95% copper and 5% zinc. There is no brass (messing).

The color variations are due to handling.

Cents are called 'red','red/brown' or 'brown'.

The middle coin in the bottom row is 'red/brown'.

The 1973 cents were struck with more pressure. Thus the higher rims on these coins. I like that like that better.
