I am looking at the bottom hook of the "D". These Mint marks can be struck at an odd angle, or with excessive force sometimes. What happens is the area below the "D" will peel upwards around the coin in certain areas, making it look like there is something there when its damaged due to a hard hit, and probably off at an angle.
I see what Coop is refering to, the area basically on the hook face of the coin. I agree with that as well.
Its important to look over the years you are investigating and seeing if there are any known possibilities. I am sure http://www.coppercoins.com has some listings. I recommend you go there, look at each one and take a stab at which one it could be. There are usually hints of a second mint mark within the middle of the "D". Sometimes the lower mint mark is definately a head scratcher and I usually shake my head and toss it into the return pile. BUT, I tend to sell these, and if I cannot sell it is a multiple mint mark to myself, I KNOW I am going to have an even harder time selling to another, so in the "OUT !" pile it goes.
