I found this partial collar error half while sorting, but I am unsure about the flat edge. Could it be a very slight clipped planchet or just got "squished" at some point in circulation?

It very well could be a partial collar in combination with a clip. Could you get some head-on photos of the whole coin? It would help a lot.

i actually see evidence that this is a double chipped planchet. on the reverse: under the F And D, and the second under the R. check that out close.
