1889-P has a large number of noted VAMs, but only a couple are of sufficient interest to warrant pointing out. There's the "Bar Wing" variety, which has a die break on the top of the eagle's wing under the "n" in "In." Also, there's a Pitted Reverse type which shows rust pitting around the D in DOLLAR on the reverse. Either of those features will be plain to you, if your coin has them.
