to the community Your coin is real and is of the Roman Emperor Constantius II 337-361 AD. The obverse legend is CONSTANTIVS PF AVG and the reverse legend is VICTORIAE DD AVGGQ NN. The mint mark is ASIS from the Siscia mint. I would grade the coin a Fine+.

I would grade at a choice F+ because of full legend, but the late die state costs it some points.

Too many coins to give an accurate grade. Post one or two coins at a time and we will be more than happy to help.

I am fairly certain it is a Roman Imperial coin, Claudius? Can this coined be cleaned to reveal the bronze again? I'm not trying to sell it, this is just a pocket piece I found awhile ago in a thrift shop :)

I don't think you are going to get much more details to show up, but you could try soaking it in either distilled water or olive oil for a couple of weeks. It might bring out some more detail. The coin does look like it might be Claudius. I believe the reverse is Constantia standing left raising a hand and holding a spear. Condition wise I'd call it fair.

I have that exact same coin (Claudius CONSTANTIAE AVGVSTI S-C) Unfortunately, I cleaned it when I was but a beginner, and unfortunately, the patina was stripped off, making the detail a bit smoother. It still looks OK, but not as it would`ve look like had I not stripped the patina. I would advise you NOT to strip off the patina, as that usually takes the detail with it. I would grade your coin at an about Good.
