I would grade the RR denari a little lower at VF. Nice even wear with nearly compete design but the entire surface has some degree of wear precluding it from VF for the type. IMHO. Still a great coin for sure!

Regarding my Tripoli Gros. I would think most would grade this as a modern coin rather than an ancient coin. NGC currently uses the 70 point scale for these coins. I wouldn't know where to place a coin like this maybe 45 - 50 ? I curious can any world or late medieval guys make comment?

Anoob, if we're grading your coin on the 70 point scale, I'd call it an EF-45 (That's likely what NGC would say).

Very cool ZXCCCXZ. Thanks, I don't think EF 45 is too bad for an 800 year old modern coin. Very educational.

Sel, I am glad your watching.

Some have seen my newest addition in my thread today, so if you know the answer of what it's been graded as, please refrain. I'd like to know what you guys think it should be graded as even if you know what it has been graded. It was graded in a lot, so they are loose according to the ngc.

I haven't seen this coin before.

No major detrimental striking 'details'.
Minor flan crack.
No obvious wear on the garland on Gordian111's head, but some wear may be found on the high points if examining the coin in hand with a 10x loupe.
Slightly weak strike on the standning figure on the reverse; this holds it back slightly.
Well centered, on a round flan.

EF, and an attractive coin.

Would greatly appreciate your opinions about this coin. A 'popular type coin' as they say. Probably way more popular than scarce. It was an ebay purchase way back at the very beginning of ebay.

Thank you!
