After reading about the Harmony Society Hoard I've wanted to add more of these coins to my collection.

So far, I have one Bust half, one bust dime with a date and one without a date.

Not to hijack this thread but what reference book or editions would you recommend I buy before I start?

I just picked up bust halves as an addiction, so anyone else with more experience please add to/correct me on what I I've heard.

First book that was recommended was "Bust Half Fever", second addition by Edgar Souders. I chose to order the DVD digital version because it was cheaper and there were additions and improvements made in the second version on DVD that are not in the printed copy...according to the publisher.
Makes sense. With digital version just make changes and burn new DVD's instead of killing a few hundred more trees.

Second book was recommended if I go hard core. Al C Overton's book on die marriages and varieties. I will wait on that one, since I have read recommendations to find earlier copies of it on the net...due to errors in the most recent version.

The third edition of the Overton is supposed to be the best. You can find copies on ebay for a pretty reasonable price from time to time but other than that the pickings are really slim trying to find it.

Theres a ton of info in it, but its not an easy read by any means trying to attribute with it.

I can't locate the Bust Half Fever book on DVD. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Found a 1820/19 that I really liked. Only six to go for the date set.

Pondering whether or not my 1813 should be a 50/UNI or not.

I have the fever too. I only lack the 15. I have many Overton varieties, but only around 70-75 bust halves total. A long shot from minimum club requirements. In my defense, I diverted major funds to collecting the Bust quarters. I am missing 1796 and 1804, 1823 and if you count 1827 (which I don't). Those are all open holes. I'm doing the dimes and Half Dimes. The Half Dimes is by far the easiest set to complete (but I still haven't done it).

The club requirements are pretty intense. Don't know if I will go that far with it. I'm just gonna see where it takes me in the meantime. I know I would like to add one Capped Bust quarter and dime to have a denomination set as well. The 1815 CBH will come after I have finessed the other dates in the series to the condition and eye appeal I want for them. The collection already has three CAC coins in it.

No reason why not. O-101 doesn't carry a terrific premium in grade, and they're available from Circulated into Mint State. Over 10% of Heritage 1813's are O-101.

Four more to go for a date set, plus I am upgrading existing dates in the collection. This is crazy!
