hey there I'm just wondering how often you will find a rare serial # in a bunble of bills?
for the first time I just picked up a bundle of $5's but nothing much in this bundle except a hbr4747947 which I dont think is worth any premium,or is it? lol

Are the bundles of notes still in sequence? I have heard they are all mixed up from Bank of Canada

Most all of the good numbers in packs of new consecutive numbered bills get pulled by alert vault tellers or by sharp eyed armored car couriers. If anything gets past them it was because they were too busy to look.

It might have a small premium for being a bookend...

I found that is not good odds to get a good bill in a bundle.........I tryed 2 of fives and the bank has not had any 10's for me to buy so that I can look... The 5's never went well so not getting any 10's doesn't really hav me heartbroken..... I will try try again (NOt a rich man though)..........If I give up I won't find any Radar or Replacement.....

The chance for a radar, I believe, is 1/1000. Therefore, in order to find something, you need a max of 1000 notes.

The notes in the picture go from 4747926 to 4747974.

If you go the notes from 4747900 to 4747999 I would suggest you hang on to it.

I have a feeling that with everyone getting mixed bundles a straight run of 100 will some day carry a premium. That is if you can afford to hang on to $500 doing nothing for a while.

What, if any, source is there for market pricing on bills with interesting/repetitive number combos?

Osiris:

Look at the Charlton guide for "repeater notes" N-10

There really isn't much of a premium for sequential notes. I think you're far better off taking the bundle back to the bank getting a new bundle and hoping to get a decent serial number in that bundle if not than rinse and repeat.
