A product of the local coin shop bi-monthly auction. It is rare that many ancients get offered in the local "ye olde shoppe" even less so that they are as 'buff' as this one. I occasionally see average Gallienus antoniniani offered up and the locals bid them up to $30 or more (none for me thanks).
This one had a 'start' price of 25 and no takers. Not usually looking for these but it seemed to be a fair enough price so I decided to give it a home. The local 'rubes' probably were confused by the silver wash which I decided to leave as is. Nice yellowish toning.
