1882 large cent Large H over Small H ? yes or no?

I see a small raised anomaly similar to the sample pic from coinsandcanada.com , but with all the gunk can't make a firm identification.

short of cleaning the area (cringe) just wondering if there are any other markers to look for when determining Large H over Small H ? (other than the H)

thank you

All 1882's are H/H. Coins and Canada is mistaken pricing it separately. This is provided by BinB.

I agree. The mintmark was doubled when it was punched into the master matrix, so it passed to all the working dies.

The extent to which the "under" H shows can vary, depending on the amount of polishing imparted to each die during finishing. Thus, some coins appear to have the repunched H and some don't...

As well explained by the above experts ...and seen here.
This specimen also shows the "bump out" in the middle of the small H.
