Good morning everyone

Some CCF members signatures denote they have complex a short set of a given coin. What is meant by a short set?

A short set of coins is a subset of the full possible set of coins. For example, a short set of Walking Liberty half dollars might leave out the earlier, more expensive pre-1941 coins, making the set more accessible to the average collector.

Another example would be the Kennedy half dollar short set of 1964 - 1970. Commonly collected as the halves which contain either %90 or %40 silver, respectively.

Also, could be a set made by little Gremlins.
Or a set kept on a low table.
Actually I've seen people refer to sets or albums that only contain a year, no mint marks as a short set.
For example too is the Whitman Large Cent Album for year only, no varieties as a short set. Also, there are numerous Albums that do not contain places of Proofs.
I would assume that any Album, Folder or set of coins that could be completed without certain types of varieties as a short set.
