Imasnore Valued Member Canada 360 Posts	Posted 01/12/2014 10:44 am This coin I found is so worn that Hibernia is obscured (well at least the "H" is, I think) and the date is very hard to read. The coin appears struck off center and worn. It is about 26.5 mm & 7.05 grams. Counterfeit? I can not identify this coin with the resources at hand so I turn to the Coin Community Members to help me ID and Date this item (attached are some jpegs). Report this Post to the Staff

amida17 Pillar of the Community United States 4897 Posts	Posted 01/14/2014 09:18 am @ Geoff. They did not make a Hibernia Ha'penny in 1778. Type 3 (long hair) were only produced 1775,1776,1781, and 1782. The OP's coin looks much like a 1776....imo. Report this Post to the Staff
