It's probably like the eagle coins: commissioned by silvertown

more likely, this is the case and same as the "Eagle" - it will be available everywhere, maximum with the 10% premium... I'll wait for more "epic" depiction of the Bison, like "return from the hunt" - one coin from this series will be enough for me.

I'm quite disappointed about de 2oz coins, it's not the kind of art I appreciate... I don't think it will be popular on the secondary market, even if the RCM sold out this one...

Yes I am a little disappointed in this release as well. I had hopes for the buffalo coin, but the buffalo appears to be asking me if "I got Milk" I'm sure it will not have issues selling out due to the fact that it is the first in the series. I'm sure they are saving the better designs for the upcoming releases in order to generate more buzz around the series.

The Bison coin is a very nice coin, as pictures that are circulating at the moment don't really show the coin that well. Will post actual pictures of the coin on February 4th. But here is quick description - the frosted/engraved area is very detailed and look fantastic against the proof background, almost looks like a 3d image. Also the eyes really stand out.

Out of the bunch I think the 2oz has the most potential. I appreciate the artists work and I think once you have the coin in hand, people can have a better understanding of how nice it is.

What do you guys think on this owl kilo coin in regards to future vale...I know the past couple of years the kilo coins have not been overly successful...do you think this one will be. I have not purchased a kilo before, but am thinking about making the jump this time...I just don't want it worth $1800 bucks six months from now...thoughts? Thanks.

The mintage is low and it's again gear to the high end buyer so chance of it coming down is pretty low.

Unfortunately, they've priced the new kilo coins as if silver was still in the $40-$50 an ounce. When Silver was, as it is now, at or below $20 an ounce, the mint was selling kilo coins for substantially less. Here's an example of from 2010 enamel http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/fine-....Uuvqi_ldXOEOnly $1650/Kilo vs today's $2300/kilo (Silver ranged from $16 to $19 per ounce through out the first half of 2010. By the end of the year - it had hit $30/ounce, but the price of the kilo coin remained the same.
