A recent 'gift' from a friend who got it among a lot of World banknotes that he purchased in an auction. The classic French 'Sully' design 100 Francs - 1941. Suffering from a bad case of WW2!

One of my ugliest and most recent: a 10 cents of Malaya, 1941 (1945). Badly worn and badly cleaned. My reason for bothering? It's a period forgery.

Philippines (J.I.M) 1 peso (1943) Does anyone know what the stamp on the reverse of this note is? I can make out something about 'received for safe-keeping'.

Giving this topic a bump because yesterday at my LCS I bought some old English 10-shilling notes, which I've posted in another topic. While looking through my dealer's stock, I noticed this 1953-A 2-dollar bill, folded and looking rather sorry for itself, all alone in the last page of the album. I fished it out and the dealer let me have it for a pound! I'm quite happy to have got it for below face value. I wonder if the corner was deliberately torn off to ward off evil spirits?
