You won the coin fair and square and it was not your fault he can't address a package properly. I don't care if he's sick, dying or grumpy. If he feels good enough to do listings then he darn sure feels good enough to package and ship accurately. He deserves ZERO sympathy and he if can't run his ebay business in a professional manner than he needs to be neg'd out of business. Call him and give him one more chance. I think you'll know where you stand as soon as you hang up the phone.

I have changed my mind since I found out who the seller was, now I agree with Sherwood park, contact Rick by phone or email. I have won an item ( feel like I stole it) from him with no problems. I am surprised he is not a member here.

Stuff happens ! I have dealt with Rick in the past and never a problem. Stay positive and work it out. Good thing is you were refunded in full and have really lost little. 1926 far 6 5 cents are easily acquired. Good luck.

Since you won the auction, you could leave a negative feedback. Before I buy anything on ebay I check the seller's feedback, and read the negatives. If a seller is not sending out the coins that went too low, I do not bid, because if I win low I might have my money tied up until I get it refunded. It is not that you tried to cheat the seller. I can bid a fair price, and if I am not being bid against I win low, over which I have no control. In addition, file the complaint with ebay. I both buy and sell, and I assure you I protect the 100% rating. Losing money on one coin is small compared to losing on all other auctions. Unfortunately, the behavior may be because of the fees the seller is charged, but that is not an excuse.

Update on what I now know. I got the tracking number from the vendor. Using on-line tools that number gave me no information whatsoever - nothing coming up with a search. Today I phoned Canada Post and had them check my tracking number. They verified that the item was indeed mailed out and did not arrive to me due to "incorrect or incomplete address". That makes me feel better about the vendor knowing that he did not change his mind about selling the item and was not trying to be dishonest in any way. On the other hand, the vendor should have contacted me when the item was returned and not just relisted it for sale. It wasn't me who submitted an incorrect address. I will not give the vendor negative ebay feedback as it was an honest mistake; but I will let him know he should have followed up better by explaining why I did not get the coin and should have checked the address to resend.

No resolution short of you getting the coin you purchased would motivate me to buy from this Seller in the future, no matter what his feedback is.

Prismatic Spray... I know plenty about business and plenty about how ebay works. At brick and mortar stores you can deal with your customers face-to-face and work things out amicably. If you are doing online sales you better be 100% accurate in EVERYTHING you do.... (especially shipping labels and staying in touch with you customers if there is a problem). Not doing so will lead to bad things like customers showing up on forums like this. The Seller messed up big time when he refunded out of the blue and never even notified the Buyer of the return. THAT, is not good business!

Nothing really came of it. He really did send the coin at the beginning. When it came back to him "incomplete address" he did refund the money right away. His only oversight/error was not telling me why he was refunding and he did not offer to resell me the coin - he just relisted it the next week on ebay after he got it back. I did not rebid on it and I believe it went for just slightly more than I originally paid.

I recently contacted a seller who did not list shipping to Canada. There was also an error in the listing showing a photo of 3 coins, and a description of 4 coins. So, I asked about the shipping and the discrepency. Turns out, there was supposed to be 4 coins in the lot.
So, with information of a reasonable shipping fee and a description that I was satisfied with, I bid, and won.
After two weeks went by, I contacted the seller asking about when it was shipped. There was no response, just an instant refund through PayPal.
I'm sure the items were probably relisted again with the proper description. Hence, the instant refund without having to open a case.
I let it go. Don't want to further deal with a seller like that.
