Has anyone shipped to Malaysia? Is there any problems shipping there? Is it the same forms as shipping to Canada?

I've shipped all over the world......but never Malaysia. I would think it is a standard international shipping form. Once it crosses your own border it doesn't much matter if it is Canada, Europe, Asia, etc. it's international. Same forms, same customs declarations. At least here in Canada the forms are the same worldwide, I would think it is safe to assume it is the same for USPS as well.

Okay, thanks for your response. I am sure the shipping price will cause the seller to not want it, but the only way I ship international is priority.

Yeah, as soon as it is leaving the country it is going with tracking, insurance, and signature on delivery no exceptions. Learned that one the hard way

For that country absolutely make sure its tracked all the way. Thats not really somewhere I would want to ship too in all honesty.

Well, I kind of want the buyer to back out. It would cost about $40 to ship it priority, but it is only a $20 fishing reel, so maybe they will back out. I will have to bump up price if they do want it to cover insurance etc. Maybe they'll just back out. I'm going to tell them it is going to cost 40 without insurance etc which will cost more and see if they are interested that way.

Id probably just tell them its not somewhere you ship and be done with it. That doesn't seem like an item someone should be paying huge shipping fees to get unless its a rare one you missed something about. I'm pretty cynical but seems like they know theyll just be able to say they never got it and get a full refund if theyre willing to pay twice the value of the item for shipping

Yeah, I was wondering why they would want to pay big money for these reels. They have not sent back after the message last night, so maybe they won't.

Heads up if you end up going through with it, definitely get insurance. If you are going to spend $40 on shipping, you had might as well. I have only sent some cheap things there a couple times by lettermail, but one did not reach its destination, so you can't be too careful.

Never had a problem with Malaysia. I've shipped a few things there over the years. Always use registered. I don't bother with priority shipping, it's a waste of $$ as far as I'm concerned. Shipping standard airmail with registered is no harder than priority shipping and costs a ton less, and you still get a tracking number by shipping registered. Registered automatically carries insurance as well.
Use form CN22 (green form) when shipping to any country outside the US.

I don't think the buyer is interested. I still haven't got a message back.
