My question is why was it listed at $2000 in the first place. Personally I think the seller should have their ANA membership revoked.

I agree with Smallcentguy, there's too many unopened rolls out there for this kind of pricing.

The problem will be if someone else sends a first day struck penny to NGC and gets another ms69 or two, there are just so many rolls and cases of these coins hoarded, This seller gets massive NGC graded RCM nclt coins with ms 69 or 70 and with inflated shipping, gets really good pricing on these slabs, This ms69 penny would be a reasonable chance at around 200 to 300 dollars.

Unless I'm reading it wrong, the NGC pop report indicates 19 of these have been graded at 69.What was the buyer thinking?

If the NGC pop report is 19, 200 to 300 maybe too much for this slab.

Even if that coin is worth oer $1000, there are too many $1000 dollar coins I don't own that I would rather spend money on when I have two mint bank rolls of 2012 cents -even if the best one is MS 62 that would be good enough for me.

What are the odds of it being the same buyer that purchased the Harshly cleaned dollar in another thread?

Ironically, almost the same price as a harshly cleaned ICCS MS-64 1945 silver dollar... (when converted to CAN$) Which one would you rather have?

If you're buying, I'll take the dollar, so I could free it and resubmit.
