If I ship a bunch, I pack each coin is a small zip-loc bag, and tape the bag to the card. They cost about a cent a piece. When I receive, I'm thankful for a good tape job as it reduces bag marks and rubbing. They go into the acetone anyway.

Quote: We have some YN collectors here on CCF that more know about our hobby than many adults out there. Very true. Quote: So a few days ago I ordered a lot of junk drawer world coins because of a fairly rare Panama silver Medio Balboa in the lot. It arrived today...

My biggest pet peeve hands down is Americans complaining about shipping charges. I live 2 minutes away from Maine, the collector club I go to is technically an international organization. Here is a random ebay listing... http://www.ebay.ca/itm/3-Gettone-Te...em25ad248242$2 sounds greatly reasonable, oh wait, $2.60 due to the exchange rate. Still not that bad. $20 SHIPPING! If I lived 2 minutes away I could probably get these shipped for free. Americans have it lucky with $2 shipping.

When the post is slow/missing. Drives me crazy waiting for my new additions to get home!
As part of that complaint - import duties can be the most irritating cause of delays... and unwarranted too in many cases since the value going out (money) is the same as is coming in (physical money)if it comes from Europe no problem but from the USA often the item gets kept and I have to go and pay (and pay a charge for having to pay also!) It makes the mail even slower!

I would like to see ALL mintages numbers of all world coins. Unfortunately most catalogues do not show many of the aluminum coin mintages, as well as numerous more world coin types. I would also like to have displayed WHO (i.e. which mint) mints each coin, this applies especially to world coins. I would like to see the "FULL STEP" types designated in the basic Red Book of US coins (the Professional edition does show this data). I would also like to see the current data on doubled dies, to include MODERN US coinage - the 1990s et cetera, in basic handbooks.

People that think that a coin must be worth something simply because it's "old"

Quote: I would like to see ALL mintages numbers of all world coins Have you tried using this website? It does not have all the mintages, but it does have mintages for modern world coins. Plus, it also has the KM # listed. http://en.numista.com/

High shipping costs are a sign that the U.S. Postal Service is struggling to be profitable. That is happening with postal services all over the World, with the advent of mobile 'phones and emails.
I agree that fake coins are my pet peeve. Making them and trading them is just plain dishonest, and should be a crime in every country. That is not always the case, and in many countries, is quite legal. Unfortunately, the World is a long way from perfect.
